Friday September the 20 I venture out to walk stage 1 of Skåneleden 3 ås to ås. I havent decided if I will walk longer, since I have to work already Sunday evening.
I take the train from Copenhagen, change at Lund towards Åstorp.
When I arrive I am a bit puzzled, I cannot see where to cross the railroad, and have to check google maps to find a crossover some 3-400 meters back.
I spend maybe 45 minutes to walk from the station to the entrance of the forest, first during the small city, then later on a sunny road.
When I finally enter the forest im imediately taken away by the beauty around Tingvalla.
Turns out though, the Skåneleden track dont take any detours but go straight through the beautiful scenary. In half an hour I have passed Tingvalla and the track continues through more ordinary forest which can be seen many places.
I continue my walk until I reach the end of stage 1, even I am dead tired. I didnt bring a lot of water and there is supposed to be water around the shelter at the end. The water turns out to be a tap on the wall of a camping house 100 meters from the shelter. There is also garbage bins, a toilet and some nice lawns where one possible could set up a tent if there is no guests in the house.
I setup my tent a bit back though, turns out pretty close to a parking lot where forests guests come to take walks. The next morning I am woken when a dog comes to sniff my things and the owner is yelling at the dog to stop.
After some breakfast I decide to walk the same route back. I dont have much other options if I want head home in good time for my Sunday work. If I continue on the next stages I wont end up close to some public transport.
It would be interesting to continue on the following stages, but, as such I wont recommend stage 1. If I only have 1-2 days, I would have preferred to stay around Tingvalla and explore that area and setup camp there.
Notes
Theres a Systembolaget, many small shops and restaurants and supermarkets in Åstorp.
In retrospective I realize I could have continued on stage 2 until I reach a road to Klippan and walked to public transport there.
