In August at the beginning of my holiday where I plan to go to Stockholm, and then walk Sörmlandsleden stages 11-15, I make a 2 day stop at Hässleholm. At my last trip walking stage 1-3 of Skåneleden 2, from Hårsjö to Häsleholm I left my walking stick among some trees on the trail a bit south of Häsleholm, since I didnt think I wanted to use it anymore.
But after I came home, and started planning my trip to Stockholm I felt like – Hey I want my walking stick.
So when I arrive at Häsleholm, and after checking into my hotel, I take a late afternoon walk down the trail and find my stick.
The next day I walk out to follow stage 4 of SL2.
It more or less start in the middle of the city where my hotel is, passes a churge, some small dams with ducks, until I start go out of the city through some fields. I cross a road and enter this wetland area where theres suppose to be good birdlife, and I do see some birds while I cross it.

The weather is kinda gray and with small rain, so I dont much feel like sitting out in the open area to get a glimpse of some birds, and I didnt bring binoculars.

After I enter pass a beautiful lake, but after the route a bigger forest road, which I follow to Hallarna, a settlement with big houses and fancy views, which I pass through. Its a boring stretch to walk, feels like walking through some local neighbourghood and not forest and nature.
After Hallarna it goes up and I quickly enter and pass Tommestorp on the forestside of the village.
After Tommestorp I walk on a bigger forest road again, until I reach the shelter and the end of stage 4 and beginning of stage 5. There is a nice view toward the lake at the shelter.

So far my walk been mildly boring. I wont recommend stage 4 unless its part of your trip to walk further on the next stages.
Since I dont plan to walk the same route back, I continue on stage 5, and the next 1 kilometer or so is far more interesting than what I seen so far, with big cliffs inside the forest and some magnificent views.

When I reach the crossing under the railroad I decide to turn back, since from maps I cannot see an easy path back towards Hässleholm. I walk back into the forest but at some point I choose another path towards Tommestorp from where I follow the road back to Hässleholm.
Notes
If you start from Hässleholm and this stage is part of your route, I see some possible options for camping or staying at hotel. If you want continue south, you could walk to Rallarhustruns hotel which I visted on this trip.
If you want continue on stage 4a around the lake, its probably too long a walk in 1 day to Tostarps pension, but you could find some decent places to set up tent on stage 4a, perhabs around Hammarmölledammen, a beautifull lake with beech forest around it.
Stage 4 is not a stage I will walk again though.
